The main objectives of Lazkaoko Beneditarren Fundazioa are to safeguard the Lazkao Benedictine Collection, to manage its development and expansion, and to make it available to society.

More specifically, the foundation aims to securely store the Basque newspaper archives, as well as the many collections and archives compiled by Agirre, and to manage the development and expansion of these collections, to ensure the correct conservational, bibliographic and archival controls, and to make them available to researches and society in general.

The ultimate purpose of the Lazkaoko Beneditarren Fundazioa is to ensure correct preservation of Agirre’s work, and to adapt it to the changing times and needs.
